How easy is it to remove snot from a handkerchief?
Scarves can be boiled with soap and then washed. But it is more hygienic to use paper napkins or even toilet paper in case of illness; collect the used paper in a bag and throw it away. No need to dry and store germs and bacilli.
I rub all children's handkerchiefs, and not only children's ones, with ordinary laundry soap and soak them in warm water, and then wash them with washing powder, rinse them well in several waters and iron them with a hot iron.
