How to sew a Nymph costume for a matinee with your own hands?
First, let's define the image of the Nymph.
Those. A nymph is a gentle, mysterious girl with loose hair, a wreath on her head and in a translucent dress.
The color of the costume depends on what Nymph: forest, mountains, water, etc., the child will be.
You can take a beautiful ready-made dress or make it yourself.
You can take a light translucent blouse made of chiffon or organza of a suitable color from one of the adults and put it on as a non-child. Tie with a wide belt, form a silhouette with pins. Leggings or a skirt are well suited for such a blouse if the blouse is short on its own.
We decorate the outfit with those decorative elements that express the concreteness of the image of the Nymph - flowers, leaves, pebbles, ribbons and sequins, beads, etc.
Just let your hair down. If your hair is short, you can purchase a carnival wig (colored fake hair).
In principle, the image is complete. If you wish, we can add a wreath or just a small decoration to the image, such as a flower, a butterfly, etc.
Nymph is a fairytale hero, the so-called child of the forest, flowers and all plants. Therefore, if your child wants to be a nymph at the matinee, this is a reason to buy more green fabrics of various textures and shades from mint green to rich olive color... Also, the suit can be woven artificial flowers or other colorful ornaments.
Strictly speaking, the nymph costume is in many ways intertwined with the fairy costume. Only the nymph has no wings and wands... In total, your daughter can become a nymph in an ordinary green dress of a suitable cut, as in this picture:
To sew such a dress, you need a pattern for which a regular T-shirt or a T-shirt, extended to the desired length, is suitable. Ideal for a "light" organza suit - it can be used for the upper air layer of the dress, and ordinary knitwear can become the lower layer, so that the child feels more free.
Such outfits are also suitable for a nymph. (only without wings, of course):
It would be just as good to think through the whole image of a nymph to the end - to make an appropriate hairdo (slightly tattered artistically), make-up (at the discretion of the parents, of course) or even a "combat" color painting on the theme of a forest nymph. After all, the whole image consists of such small and seemingly imperceptible little things that turn out to be very, very important for complete completeness.
