What can I add to tea?

  • I don’t know about others, but I really like to add something to tea and I also don’t mean standard lemon, milk and sugar. I like to add fruit flavored candies to tea instead of sugar, especially orange ones.

I also like to add fresh fruit juice to the tea: peach, orange, mandarin, pineapple, etc. Different jams and even jam I can drink tea))

  • Why didn't the herbs please you? There are so many, so many different combinations you can create. For example, there is such a herb - stevia, which quite successfully replaces sugar, moreover, without harmful effects inherent in sugar. Added when brewing. The Chinese themselves, who came up with tea, can, in addition to stevia, add chrysanthemum flowers, lilies, rosebuds, lavender or osmanthus to the tea leaf (you can even find osmanthus tea in supermarkets). Just like the Russians add oregano, for example, or lime blossom. We, Siberians, can easily add cedar needles and chaga to tea. Sagan-daila is also good.

The traditional additive is jasmine. But it is added even during the drying process of the tea leaf, after which, when all the aroma is absorbed by the tea, the already useless flowers are removed.

An additive that dates back much less years, but also became traditional, is bergamot essential oil.

Spices are wonderful. Cinnamon, cloves, black pepper. Ginger root.

You can add fruit to tea. A sliced apple, for example. You can pour orange or tangerine zest. Or cut a little pulp straight. And stir all this in every possible way, for example, mix an apple, a juicy orange, a clove and a couple of mint leaves - and in a teapot for the most ordinary tea.

Berries or jam from them (berries in tea leaves, jam already in cups). Congestion. Md!

Cognac or liquor. Or even syrup for cocktails, any of a variety.

  • Many in hot tea for something they do not add a lot of cold water. Also add any sweet jam to the tea, some for taste on an alcoholic drinker brandy or not a lot of vodka. But of course especially with a cold honey.

  • Aromatic herbs, mint, oregano, lemon balm, lemongrass, linden are added to tea during brewing. On our site, Potentilla, Kuril tea grows, we add leaves and flowers to tea, they give a very delicate, such aristocratic aroma. Tea is brewed with rose hips, a real medicinal decoction is obtained. It is good to add honey to tea, because it is made of flowers. Tea with honey and sea buckthorn berries turns out well. You can add fresh apples, pears, oranges, raspberries, currants, blueberries, cranberries. We tried tea with ginger and cloves, but this is already exotic, for a big fan. Granny once made a special infusion for tea: lemon, some sour berries (cranberries, for example), mint or something else, all this infused with honey syrup was stored in a jar in the refrigerator. And as a child, I loved to drink tea with rosehip syrup, which was sold in a pharmacy before, an unforgettable taste.

  • Kalmyk tea is brewed in milk, salted to taste and butter is added. Such tea of desert-steppe inhabitants remarkably quenches thirst, at the same time sates and gives strength.

You can add ppm, grated ginger root, cloves and black peppercorns to the tea to get a cold drink called "Dragon's Kiss".

  • A spoonful of cognac is added to hot black sweet tea. Perfectly warms and tones up. Mom even gave our children one cup of this tea, if they came from the street very cold. Usually cognac is added to coffee, but I like it even more in tea.
